Excellent install. Only driver needed was one to use my Linksys wireless CardBus card and Linuxant's Driverloader (www. linuxant.com) solved the problem. First problem was not being able to tap on the touch pad to select. Solved by explanation to somewhat hidden setting in SaX2. Only other problem was no midi wave table picked up on the card, although 9.0 did not have the problem. Am able to use Timidity synthesizer to play midis. Excellent support of odd-shaped LCD screen.
To fix the Touchpad problem, use the 1st button rather than tap, using the command line command SaX2, or using the "Control Center" access. Using Control Center, choose YaST, Hardware, and then Video. You will have the option of selecting "Touchpads" and then "Synaptics". All done.
I haven't found a fix for the midi problem other than to set up TiMidity as your default application for *.mid files. Not too pretty but functional.
I tried to load the Linux driver that Synaptics has on their web site but found that I couldn't. The system would indicate that the driver was loadede but it didn't function. I have no access to the normal Synaptics options. THe Kernal driver is adequate for good use.
Please also note that the USB Floppy also works well. This "Designed for MS Windows XP" laptop runs Linux quite well.
