Doesn't work with linux, and messes up hardware detection in some distributions(says sound card is camera), unplugging this device is best when using linux.
EDIT1:
This camera now works, but no support for brightness control and it randomly shrinks images at random intervals, and the mic still doesn't want to work. Still screws up hardware detection scripts. 1 step closer though.

I used this driver:

and it works well.. only problem is the max resolution is still 324x248, but that's fine.
Also the microphone seems to woks well.

This is my first experience with a webcam in Linux. Getting the webcam to work has been very tring. But that is as a result of the kernel I have. After failed attempts with other drivers, and then many attempts to compile and install the driver, I finally got it working.

The problem was that the driver code made a call to a depreceated, adn subsequently removed method. After alot of googling and log watching I found the problem, made a small change to the code. The install script then worked like a charm.

The compile problem is known to the developers, and I have little doubt that this will be fixed soon.

I gave this an 8 because the resolution doesn't go higher, the microphone seems not to be supported, and didn't "just work".

+ the driver mentioned works and is easy to install
+ microphone works well
+ snapshoot button is recognized and attached as /dev/input...
- max resolution is about 320x240
- poor framerate (3-9 fps)
- microphone is messing with the primary soundcard, advanced configuration is required to solve problems (see my thread @ http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=199012 if you are interested)
- poor colours (compared to win32 driver)
- occasional device hangs during video capture ( resulting in uninterruptable process, so only the hard reboot can kill it )
