Cardbus 802.11b Wifi card based on the rtl8180 chipset. Unfortunately I was not able to get the card running with the Linux drivers supplied by Realtek, or ndiswrapper and win xp drivers. However! the Linuxant driverloader v2.09 and the latest Realtek win xp driver (release 173) worked flawlessly on the first try. I'm running Slackware 10.0 and after I installed, I now only have to issue two commands: iwconfig to my AP, and dhcpcd.
Just an update, I've since upgraded to slack 10.1 and have been staying current with driverloader (now up to 2.27).
Driverloader and Realtek XP drivers are still the absolute best combination I've used, the install works flawlessly.
I've also automated the configuration of the interface, keeping things so I can switch between the wireless interface or 10/100 card I have: In /etc/rc.d/rc.wireless.conf I added the ESSID and KEY for my wireless access point, and this will automagically configure using DHCP when I pop in the wireless card. I can remove the card and throw in my 10/100 card and it will also use the same settings and configure using DHCP.
I sure didn't want to pay money for Driverloader, but for $35 (yes that's for the card and Driverloader) I guess I can't complain too loudly.
