HP supplies a CD with Micro$oft drivers and software for dumping pictures to a PC.

However, in Fedora Core 2 comes with the gtkam from http://www.gphoto.org. This neat little GUI can be started from a terminal or from the Gnome or KDE menu. This neat little program provides a way to upload pictures from cameras of many different manufacturers to Linux desktop systems. With it, I do not need the HP proprietary software.

My HP camera and my HP Pavilion which is now a Linux box instead of a Windows box are getting along just fine.
