When I printed in Knoppix, it was pretty good. Installation was easy, just a matter of running the kde print wizard. Didn't install it in Slack though. The linux printing site notes some problems, along with possible drivers: http://www.linuxprinting.org/show_printer.cgi?recnum=Brother-HL-630
