Description: This product is defaultly supported by the Linux kernel, and simply works. It's a cheap sound cart that I would recommend to anyone having problems with their onboard sound systems.

(even the performace/sound in Windows XP got a lot better after I'd disabled my onboard VIA82x sound)
/sbin/lspci output: 00:07.0 Multimedia audio controller: Ensoniq 5880 AudioPCI (rev 04)

detects, no sound, 1 speaker only works, very loud static all the time, actually blew a pair of speakers (fried the amp)

Work fine. Only 1 channel (cheap card) but can be emulated using some threaded sound deamon.
It doesn't support 3d efect of 4 speakers, you have to desactivate few options or the sound is crappy and loud.
