Not recognised as a dvd drive or writer (picked up as a CD reader only). Haven't been able to persuade it to read anything (the filenames are corrupt (i.e. they bear no relation to the files actually on the disk)).
On the plus side, it's great for running installs of the 64bit version of suse (the 32 doesn't recognise it) on machines that either don't have an optical drive, or don't have a dvd drive.
