A good flatbed scanner. Quite large by todays standards. It scans slightly larger than A4/letter sizes. The stepper motor is VERY noisy at 1200dpi. Can scan up to 1200x2400dpi. But Xsane thinks it can go up to 3200dpi and presents a drop-down list with integer divisions of this i.e 3200, 1600, 800, 400, etc. Turn off "show resolution list" and you can enter anything you want.
I had a little trouble getting it to work in SANE. I use this line in /etc/sane.d/hp.conf:
