The CD which comes with the printer includes a Linux printer configuration utility and driver, and this works quite well, but I found that it would fail after some time, and would have to be reinstalled.
Alternatively, the printer can be installed without the manufacturer's software, using the available Linux driver for ML-1210. This seems to work well with no issues.
