This USB 2.0 device is correctly recognized as a USB mass storage device and is automatically assigned to /dev/sda1 upon plugging it in. Device can be mounted at that point, and written to and read from without problems.

NOTE: My system is running Fedora Core 2 with stock kernel, but I suspect it will work fine on other distros with 2.6.x kernels.

Device recognized upon plugging in and assigned to /dev/sda1. From there, can be mounted, written to and read from like any storage device.

No driver or any other software installation needed.
