works exelnt in all but one distro i have tryed and that was slackware but i think that was a kdeor X problem as i could run the "alsaconf restore"command beror starting x and when x started i would have to rerun the command otherwise an exelent and compatable card on red hat 9, suse, fedora, knoppix and BSD
i havend had any hardware to test either the front or rear firewire ports or the midi, optical, spdif ports but the audio mixer does recognise them
