Works well for stills. Have not tried the movies. Detected OK by hotplug when plugged in to USB.

Install gphoto2 (commandline interface) and gtkam.

Add user to group camera.

Run gtkam.
Detect and Add camera
Camera -> Add camera -> Detect.

Select camera/camera directories in left-hand panel. View pics in right-hand panel. Simple!
