Plugged in the port. Started up computer (Compaq Presario 700, dual boot with XP). Went to Mandrake control center. It picked up the card automatically. Took about 2 minutes to configure the card and I'm using it right now.

i give it an 8 for the compatibility due to the fact that i had to download the drivers for it. i believe that linksys should produce a linux native driver so that it can be included with the main system.
ftp://ftp.linux-wlan.org/pub/linux-wlan-ng/README

configuration was a snap. the instructions were well written and easy to follow even for someone that knows nothing about this kind of stuff.

Got an old laptop for £40, bought this card, installed Slackware on the laptop, and with a few teething problems out of the way, decided to get the card working. Found this post on how to configure in Slackware, following the instructions, restarted the latop, and hey presto - the Google homepage! Not as hard as I thought it would be... now that's tempting fate!<p>Just as an aside, I'm not etirely sure what version of the card this is, and it's an OEM version, but the guy I bought it off said it was a linksys WPC11 inside.
