Description:
64 Meg 3D Video Card with TV out

This device is compatible with linux using either the ATI fireGL binary drivers availible at www.ati.com or using linux kernel drivers in tandem with XFree86 4+ or Xorg.

Even though this is an older card, because of similar architect with newer products, updated drivers are still being made availible for this product..

The only caveat has been in configuring for dual head modes...

I bought this card when I built this computer a little over a year ago. It's a 64MB AGP card.

Fedora Core 3 found this card and set up everything automatically with X.org. No searching for drivers, special installation.

glxgears gives an average of 1548 FPS.

If you can find one, I highly reccomend it for a system on which you don't really plan on playing newer games, it is the bare minimum card supported for Doom 3, and not very well, but for an everyday computer that you don't plan on gaming but don't want to get intergrated graphics, it runs fine in Fedora Core 3. It might be a different story with some other distrobutions.
