Just use the natsemi driver. Works like a charm.

Odd, I'm using the "tulip" driver. Anyhow, works great here too.

Picked it up fine, with no need to go finding drivers, always does in all machines I have tried it in.

Would reccomend this product for any distro.

Windows Even picks it up aswell without drives, but noone really cares about that ;)

I don't have any complaints compatibility wise, Linux is more than capable in working with this card. I do have a complaint with physical reliability of this card. I have used this particular model for several years now, and have gone through three of them. For some reason after a period of time, such as two or three years. This particular model seems to fail. I know that for about eight of nine dollars now, that it isn't much. But from a reliability standpoint, you may not want to use this on a server. All three of mine have failed mid-transfer, this is frustrating. But if your looking for a entry level, home or even small office NIC then this is just fine. Thanks.

I just bought the 'v2' card, and a very decent price.

I plugged it into an already installed system, to
replace a card that was not working quite correctly.

It was detected fine, driver used was '8139too'.

No problems at all.

John.

ps. it is in a server, but only for 2 weeks, so I
can't comment on it breaking after a couple of years,
but I hope not. Maybe being in a server could be
good for it, as it does not get turned off/on so
much ?
