Cups never has had an issue(no matter what distro I was using) with my HP and print quality is great!

Detected it perfectly with YaST (using the parallel cable, didn't try USB because I didn't have a USB cable.) It set up quickly and in less than a minute after connecting and starting the detection, I was printing and there are no printing errors.
