Description: Cable Modem with One USB port, one Ethernet Port, and one Coaxial Connection.

The Linksys stackable design goes well with existing Linksys routers and Access Points.

Vender=077b ProdID=08b8 Rev= 1.01

This Modem requires no driver for Ethernet connections and provides DHCP to set your assigned IP to your system. A call to your provider is all it takes to activate the Modems MAC address on their system.

The USB connection uses these modules

CDCEther
af_packet modules.

Tested on SuSE 9.0 the USB Modem hotplugs and loads the required drivers. All that needs to be done is to configure the interface

ifcfg-usb-eth

BOOTPROTO='dhcp'
STARTMODE='hotplug'

The device will take the first available eth device as in eth0, eth1, etc.

/sbin/lspci output: N/A

I'm totally new to Linux all together, after installing SuSE my internet connection worked fine. I am connected through the ethernet cable. SuSE set everything up for me.
