Needs a bin file upload before it works, since there seems to be no complete firmware. The sourceforge project explains how this file can be uploaded http://snapscan.sourceforge.net/,
the bin file is on the included cdrom or can be found on the internet.
In case you manage to get everything blocked, even unloading the usb kernel modules won't work, so a complete reboot is needed (yak).
