Description:

Good priced above-mid-level notebook. It meets all requirement for desktop repacement ( fast processor [1.5GHz Centrino], nice harddisc [60 GB], enough RAM for most applications [512 MB] and a state of the art graphic card [Radeon M9700Pro]. I build my gentoo stage 1 system (including Gnome and OpenOffice) in 48h. Windows XP runs fine, for those who need it; It comes with a lot of junk - I don't know what it is, 'cause I reinstalled Windows within a few hours - , and be careful with those drivers. The hardware is too new for Windows to recognise it, so keep your driver downloads close by. Linux works without a problem, even the graphic card run nice (including 3D) with the latest fglrx drivers from ATI

OK, here it goes:
I have not been able to get BlueTooth and WLan to work on my 8004LMi). There is a Source Forge Project (http://sourceforge.net/projects/ipw2200/) for the WLan driver. But it didn't come up with anything yet (other than a driver which tells you that you have the card installed).
Graphic Card doesn't work with 3D support due to the fact, that Fedora switched to x.org and ATI did not provide RPMs as of today. (But, who needs 3D on a bash? ,) )
Other than that, a really great Laptop!
