Kernel (uname -r): 2.4.26
Distribution: Slackware 10

Running Slackware 10, I have still not been able to install this printer, but in KDEinfo, the printer is seen with the correct model number.
I've tried other similar drivers with no luck. When it is working though, this is an excellent printer. Hopefully drivers are released soon. It appears that Lexmark is making (even if small) some effort to support linux.

Detexted on the usb ports, and by cups, but no way to find a suitable driver. I have been trying on Debian (one of my machines) and under Ubuntu Hoary / Breezy but did not find a way to make it work. I have tried several differents drivers for Lexmark printers. None worked.

I tried to contact Lexmark, but the answer was useless (briefly, go on the site and download the Linux driver). There are two versions, none work. Installing these is difficult as the "help" file mentionned files / sites which does not exist anymore.

Bad printer, should have bought a HP printer (I had one which worked very nicely)...
