Description: Only 1 Real issue, and that is the built in ATI Radeon 7500. 3D acceleration failed under Mandrake 10. Under SuSe 9, the 3D acceleration works. Other distro's seemed to have trouble getting 3d acceleration to work on this notebook in general.

As far as 3d Gaming, the weak support for the card tends to lead to slower than normal framerates when running emulated windows games.

Battery Shutdown problem under Suse 9 (but not under Mandrake 10!) If at anytime the ac-adapter gets plugged into the system, the battery does not properlly disable itself when running any equivilent of "init 0". Manually Pulling the battery out is my current solution. (if the system is booted up and maintained on battery power the entire time until shutdown, this problem is avoided)

Did not have any problems with any of the other Hardware aspects. DVD-CDRW device is a SCSI, so running a DVD player, such as Xine, the command: "hdparm -d1 /dev/sr#" is necessary for DVD playback.

One strange issue is that when I failed to run "hdpar, -d0 /dev/sr#" before reboot/shutdown, I had to from that point run "hpdarm -d1 /dev/hd?" to get the same effect.

Framebuffer supports 1400x1050 without any problems.

Side Note: Did not test the Dialup-adapter. the Suse AND the Mandrake both failed to acknowledge that the card existed using their builtin easy-config system (such as SuSe's: Yast2)

I had no trouble with 3d acceleration, I'm not a gamer but fps is about 1340. When I first got the machine (spring 2002?) I was even able to get the modem to work using a driver from Smart Link Ltd. It was version 2.4.18, they are now up to 2.9 something and I have no idea if it would still work. (http://www.smlink.com) The only thing I have never tried is the infared adapter. Also I have never had any problems with the battery and AC.
