I have only recenlty started with Linux but it works fine with my 10-year-old HP Laserjet 4MP Postscript printer. No problems so far. I have printed OK from OpenOffice and KOffice.
The Laserjet is very reliable - more reliable then HP's more recent products!

I have already posted a review of the HP Laserjet 4MP but that was on Mandrake 9.2. I now have Mandrake 10.1 and find that the printer works well on that too. This is not much use to someone looking for a new printer - it has probably been unavailable for many years now - but it might help someone like me who has kept an old printer going!

I have the 4MV version which was originally for the Mac. Using CUPS and parallel connection. No problems at all with print quality, toner life, old and heavy though. Sometimes have to press 'Shift'+'Continue' buttons together to get a page to feed through. Never tried to set up Ethernet connection. Good value for a freebie.
