All hardware are linux 100% compatible, even the winmodem.
( Note : I dont have an ethernet card on this model. )
The video card is a bit crappy (Trident cyberglade) no way to enable hardware acceleration, but it works well out of that.
ACPI is not too bad, for a primitive laptop as this one. Standby is buggy for kernel version < 2.6.10 (it works but CPU slow down to 50Mhz and never come back to normal) but I reported and it seems to work on newer kernel.
Suspend to disk work with swsusp2 and kernel <= 2.6.8.1, it is buggy with a newer kernel (but I assume it is a kernel bug, not swsusp2 fault).
No advanced feature like CPU throlling work, due to old ACPI.
Please not I flashed my BIOS to the newest version, the default version had a broken ACPI implementation and I had to force it at boot with "apm=no acpi=force" (or something like this).
APM seems to be buggy, but I haven't tried much. It wasn't able to suspend/standby properly, I trashed it soon enought. Maybe there is a way to make it works.
This laptop use a vendor BIOS, you need to press "escape" and to hold it to enter the BIOS (took me some time to find this out surfing the web, Toshiba documentation only intend to help retard). So to control LCD, THERMAL, FAN and others feature, you need the "toshiba laptop support" in kernel. It works well, out of few bugs (like fans that shutdown if you use battery, but dont come back alive if you are overheating... the best is to manage fans by yourself).
