Description: Works as a regular keyboard. I can power up my box using the "moon" key, but the other rubber keys don't work (rumoured to work with some extra configuration, but I'm a newbie).
Keywords: original (Y-RB6) keyboard
Connection Type: PS/2

Kernel (uname -r): 2.6.7
Distribution: LFS

Most of the extra buttons work instantly with Lineak, the others need to be manually configured using the 'setkeycodes' command at boot, but that's a kernel 'problem', as they work fine in 2.4.x kernels.

Other than that it's a nice keyboard, works for 6-12 months on one set of 4 1.5V batteries, with usage of ~8-10 hours a day.

You can get the extra functions keys working with keyTouch. Because keyTouch doesn't support this keyboard yet, you will have to create a keyboard file for it. This is done easily by using keytouch-editor. Documentation for keytouch-editor is found here: http://keytouch.sourceforge.net/keytouch_editor/
Send your keyboard file to marvinr(at)users(dot)sourceforge(dot)net so that other users do not have to create a keyboard file.

By using keyTouch every extra function key will work under kernel 2.6. So no extra manual configuration is needed.
