You have to use CUPS driver available at the www,lexmark.com

It is compatible with any linux.
Check this if Lexmark drivers are couldn't help you

Z600 drivers work for all the Z6xx printers, if you have a Linux with the TCL 8.4 libraries, find an old RH9 disk and get the 8.3, I had to get the tk8.3 package too, just install them and your good to go, I have noticed no conflicts with having both versions installed.

I have a Z611, everything works ok, but you have to have a black cartaridge to print black text, though when printing w/o a black cartaridge it will mix colours to get black for images...

This printer should work with any distro. You don't need RH8 or 9 or any TCL libraries. Just use the Gentoo Lexmark Printers HOWTO or the little HOWTO I worked out myself.
