Plug and play with USB mass storage driver. Backwards compatible with USB 1.1. Works with Mac OS X and Windows too. No repartitioning/reformating required to use with all three OS'!!!

Makes an odd whirring noise approx every 10 minutes. I exchanged first one only to find out they all make same noise.

Hooked up first time, no problems at all. Interesting, I just noticed that odd whirling noise about every 10 min about a week ago. Drive is quieter than half my internal ones!
