Description: This is a wireless USB adaptor made by D-Link.
I needed to use the linux-wlan-ng package to get this to work, the USB driver is needed from the package.
Will set up as wlan*. This adaptor is based on the prims2 chipset, although i could not get and of the native drivers for prism2 to work, hence the linux-wlan-ng package.

The device works very well. This is my first installation of suse and at present I start the device as root from a console with wlanctl-ng.

hello im new to the posting tning i have never been in or on a fourm before. If i am doing something wrong please let me know.
i have a D-Link wireless usb net on my pc and i can not get knoppix to connect to the net could you help me out with step by step instruction? thank you.

Great little device. Out of the box this doesn't have the range of some newer cards. Tx output 16dbm/40mW compared to some newer 200mW cards. By adding and external antenna yourself you can reach AP's like you won't believe. I'm currently using a pigtail from an old AP that uses TNC connector. I removed the old ceramic antenna and soldered the pigtail. The antenna I'm using is a 3dBi. This seems to make a huge difference. Might have to upgrade to a 9dBi later and see what the results are.

Worked out of the box. Rev B1 has ralink chipset, so does C1. Don't use Rev A
