Description: I used the HP 4100 model printer for a year in Linux with no problem. The printer was connected to a Windows XP computer on my network. I recently got an HP 4101mpf printer/fax/copier/scanner that is directly connected to the network and it works seamlessly with Windows and Linux computers alike. HP has done a good job with driver support and compatibility.

Note: I used 4100 drivers to run the 4101 because they are both in the 4100 series.
