Kernel (uname -r): 2.4.25
Distribution: redhat 9

tried binary redhat9 driver from www.promise.com, didn't work with 2.4.22 kernel. am now using 2.4.25-libata16.patch against 2.4.25 kernel for SATA support with no problems.

hdparm -Tt /dev/sdc output from WD1200JD drive:
Timing buffer-cache reads: 128 MB in 1.14 seconds =112.28 MB/sec
Timing buffered disk reads: 64 MB in 1.54 seconds = 41.56 MB/sec

Kernel (uname -r): 2.4.20-6
Distribution: RedHat 9

It's impossible to install RH9 initial distro on drives controlled by this card.

If you would to install it fine you should use the RH9 iso images published on web.

The USA buyed CD contains kernel 2.4.20-6 and published iso images the 2.4.20-8, the same as Promise kernel modules.

Have a good luck!
