Kernel (uname -r): 2.6.3 and 2.6.7
Distribution: Debian

I got most of the built-in hardware working with the 2.6.x kernel. ACPI, suspend-to-disk, Alsa, 3D acceleration, the ethernet card, and the Synaptics-enhanced touchpad are working. Rather than repeat what I already wrote, take a look at http://rayli.net for some of what worked for me.

Tough time with the wireless card and getting ndiswrapper to work, but if you have a basic knowledge of linux, you'll be alright (or, you'll get a basic understanding of linux while desperately trying to get it working, like me). I too got most of my included things working, thankfully my ATI Radeon card worked out without a hitch, which from what I've heard, is not usually the case.
As of right now, the only thing i have not gotten working at all is the sleep button, but thats mostly because i have no real need for a button to do something i can type out easily. One more thing I have not really looked into all that much yet is the FN button, which works well enough for the contrast settings, and the numlock as well, but does not work to turn on scroll lock, ejecting the cdrom, or (what is going to drive me to fixing it eventually,) adjusting the volume.
I also have a Creative Labs Zen Touch mp3 player which uses usb2.0 which works perfectly with gnomad2, and a Logitech 3-button usb mouse, which works fine too.
