Description: The HP BIj 1000d is a rather large form-factor full-colour inkjet printer featuring full-duplex printing, and seperately replacable ink cartridges and heads.

Installation using the SuSE Yast2 tool went without a hitch (using the parallel interface). The printing is fast and high quality, although offset by a few millimeters. The duplex unit is slow (it has to let the ink dry before rolling it in to print the next side!)

When using cheap 80gsm inkjet paper, I find the rollers tend to smudge the ink when printing in full-duplex mode.

Note: This printer uses all four ink cartridges even to print in black.
Keywords: Duplex Colour inkjet
Connection Type: Parallel or USB
