-------------
This hardware is quite stable, but a few things are bad at Linux environment.
1) speedstep technology doesn't work
2) reboot doesn't work - can be fixed by upgrading bios
3) modem doesn't work - I saw discussion at some modem board. 3Com engineer asked community if somebody needs this driver, but nobody want it.
4) cannot suspend LCD display via APM - works with http://sourceforge.net/projects/omke/

kernel 2.6:
1) touchpad doesn't response for clicks on it - works with http://w1.894.telia.com/~u89404340/touchpad/
2) middle button at touchpad doesn't work - fixed in kernel 2.6.5

Kernel (uname -r): 2.6.10-1.741_FC3
Distribution: Fedora Core 3

Has worked very well with a number of distributions. My DVD-ROM may be showing signs of age, but my recent FC3 install has worked well. The touchpad and built-in pointing device work well. Soundcard is readily recognized and working.
