Install went pretty smooth. I compiled a custom kernel with a couple patches (supermount, bootsplash), as Slackware 10.0 does not have an option to install a 2.6 kernel by default. The only thing to watch out for is USB support - make sure you are using the OHCI module (or compile it into your kernel). USB did not work (not even under the 2.4.26 kernel that was installed by default) until I did this.
Also, the synaptics touchpad driver for Xorg (or if you prefer Xfree86) is nice to have, and works perfectly. It can be found here: http://w1.894.telia.com/~u89404340/touchpad/
It isn't necessary, however. The touchpad works as a PS2 mouse, but you won't have tap-to-click or scroll button functionality like you would with the driver.
I am still playing with getting the multimedia buttons to do something. So far, I just have the volume buttons working.
CD burning and DVD playback works fine. The only things that I can't speak for is the built-in modem, or tv-out. I have not tried them, but I see no reason why they wouldn't work ;)
