Description: This is a rather old but very nice laser printer that is actually an HP of some sort under the hood. It says "LaserWriter Select" on the front and the "360" model can be found on the lables in the back. It has a parallel port so you can use it on a PC (as well as an Apple serial port).

You can still easily get toner cartridges for it.

I love this printer and it's listed as a choice in RedHat's CUPS printing system and works perfectly under RedHat Linux. To use it on a non-Apple computer you must set the selector switch on the back to position "6". It prints reasonably fast with very good quality.

I bought mine used something like 5 or 6 years ago and it has worked ever since without any problems. This printer does not have a network interface.

Got one, evidently stored for a long time, with only 3300 prints on the clock. Works perfectly, and, I downloaded the pdf files for user (54 pages) and developer (100 pages) manuals.

For a FREE gift, I am astounded at the quality. An even greater surprise is that the life is supposed to be 300,000 printouts! This laser printer is like new!

I see toner/fusers that are new range in price from $30 for two, up to $70 each. These are usually the ones made for the 600 (non-USA only) printer, that are a generic fit for all the 300 series.

Only thing to be done is to boost the memory to the 16Mb limit, from the 4 Mb installed. There is 3 Mb onboard, that is automatically disabled upon installation of the 16Mb stick.

Yeah, it does Postscript, TTL, PCL5, and, has three ports that all can be connected, as the hardware will autosense input. There is also the Adobe Intellisense that knows what data format is presented, and runs the right output!

Owning some Macs, and several PCs running Linux, I will be using those features. My setup is to hook an older beige Mac to it, and, to my network, and then use it as the network printer.
