Description: This is an external CD burner. It connects via a USB cable. It support both USB 1 and 2, but USB2 allows for faster writing speed.

It worked fine on RedHat 9 (kernel 2.4.20). I didn't have to do any patching, or modules or anything.

cdrecord is able to see it. `cdrecord -scanbus` gives :
0,0,0 0) 'AOPEN ' 'CD-RW CRW5224 ' '1.06' Removable CD-ROM

Although I was having trouble burning things for a while, this as a software problem. RH9 came with a version of cdrecord that wasn't great. After updateing and recompiling the latest version (2.00.3), I was able to burn grand.

Here is the manufacturers product page.
