The device is recognized as a USB HID Joystick, and is given a joystick location (/dev/input/js1 on my machine) but outside of that nothing else could be done. Unsure of what additional modules are needed (joydev and a myriad of other possible ones didnt seem to do the trick), although Lik-Sang (a major retailer of these) says that just having HID and Joystick support enabled in the kernel will have it work. Works flawlessly under Windows, but the entire point of this exercise for me is to have the last stumbling block for my migration removed.
