Card discovery with an existing OS did not work. Kudzu wasn't recognizing the card. I reinstalling the OS with the card in place and it was discovered then. Once it was operating, it performed really well. I ran Chromium video game and the video was choppy. Played DVD movie with Ogg and the video was excellent.

after my first install of linux, mandrake 9.1, whenever i boot into mandrake it does all the verbose crap and then the screen just goes black and i cant use it at all. i reinstalled many times and never had any luck. my card was pci though, so that might have been part of the problem.

The Radeon 7000 VE has worked fine for 2D, but I was unable to get the 3D working with DRI under XFree. Note: the ATI drivers will NOT work with this card. However, under XOrg, I have managed to get DRI working with the supplied radeon.o,but the frame rate was faster under Mesa software rendering. Go figure...

This is a decent card for 2D work, such as desktop stuff and watching movies but I can't recommend it if you are looking to do any gaming.

On intial install found card and worked perfectly. Unfotunatley after update "poof" no X at all.

Moral... don't use up2date to update FC3. Use yum :-)

Still in the process of trouble shooting.
