Description: This printer has served me well for over 4 years. I only recently got it working with Linux.

CUPS with the gimp-print driver is very easy to setup and works very well with this printer.

Works great with CUPS and the gimp-print driver. With photo paper or coated paper the results are surprisingly good for a 4-colour printer.

NOTE: Avoid cheap ink! I used non-Epson ink for a while and then had a lot of trouble with blocked nozzles. I've managed to fix it with a lot of work and now only use genuine Epson ink.

The printer seems to be aging a little, with problems such as diagonal pulling in paper, splotches of ink occasionally, etc.

Works in linux fine, for the standard student essays, not for artists or publishers.

Problems:
didn't like printing from the gimp
sometimes takes a while to start printing a document
sometimes won't work - had to go into config, remove and redetect the printer. This happened several times, this is a minor hiccup and doesn't take long to follow perscribed steps.
