Description:
|
A very nice color printer that prints sharp and crisp.
Using Mandrake 10, KDE and kernel 2.6:
The printer was autodetected, and no further changes were needed to be made in order for it to print perfectly!

This printer is one of the best HP printers I have ever used on Linux. It's easy to configure, with most of the configuration being done on the printer itself and minimal configuration is needed on your system. The Photosmart 7660 is very fast, but relatively quiet and the quality is very good. If you use the photo cartridge (which has to be bought seperately), the print quality is even better.
I successfully used it on Fedora Core 3 using Kernel 2.6.9.x, Slackware 10 using stock Kernel 2.6.10 (2.6.9 had a problem with USB) and Mandrake 2.6.8.x.
