footnote: You should go into harddrake hardware detect GUI, and set the option button to " <autodetect modems" first , so it knows its there when u set up Kppp. for the serial port. (usually ttys0)

I just plugged this little buzzer in and aimed at ttyS0 during KPPP configuration ..... and bingo !!! first try ;-)
