The DCR-TRV830 works great on digital video transfer via Firewire. The camera can be controlled via the Firewire controls that Kino employs, as well as transfer video via Kino OR via dvgrab, both created by the same author. An excellent camera all around, and that it works great with Linux via the dvgrab software, is a huge plus.
