Manufacturer identifies in their literature its Linux compatable. On my Redhat system I had to disable USB 2.0 support in the bios (ABIT NF7) to recognize *any* USB devices. It then worked at 1.1 speeds. This is not the fault of the card reader, because I tried other brands and had the same OS problem. This reader worked fine with USB 2.0 on other distributions with a newer kernel (ie Knoppix cdrom, Debian). If you need an internal floppy form factor card reader this is the one to buy.
