Solid burner with linux listed as compatible operating system.
I've burned from k3b using the ATAPI access layer in kernel 2.6.3 with no problems at all. The physical construction feels solid.
No linux hitches, but my motherboard would not boot when the drive was connected, but emitted three beeps instead. Contacted ASUS support, which quickly suggested setting the IDE channel in question to none. That fixed it.
