Description: The NetComm IN5710 is a full hardware 56k V90 PCI modem. It has one line jack and one phone jack. It works fine provided setserial is used to assign it to a device.

I obtained the I/O port number and the irq using lspci and the used

# setserial /dev/ttyS4 port 0xa000 irq 4 autoconfig

to configure it for my computer. Avoid using setserial with the "auto_irq" argument instead of specifying the irq as it locked up my computer.

This modem after being configured with setserial. Had to create a file in /etc/rc.d named rc.serial and place the configuration in there. Trying to get setserial to setup the irq automatically locked up my computer. After speicifying the irq manually it worked fine.
