everything works in linux except for softmodem, have tried in the past, but haven't it again lately, haven't use it much. 800MHz for crusoe is like 500-600Mhz P3, so compile everything is about taking forever. I seem to have problem compiling mozilla and evolution, not sure what the problem is yet. All hardware are autodetect(except for what mention above), but I hand pick them when compile the kernel anyway. the 1280x768 doesn't support in VESA/directb mode, it will in X, but require manual editing in conf file. Here is what you can imagine about the crusoe CPU, when playing mpeg4(DiVX5/XVID), it's jerky on both Windows and X, but fine in VESA mode. So that's what I do, coupling with atitvout, now that's what I called portable media player. This machine is ready to play movie under a minute after I hit the power button.
