Description: This is a nice SATA hard drive, 80GB 7200RPM with and 8mb chache, I've bought two of these for my desktop and get about 47-51mb/s out of each, overall they are pretty standard for SATA hdds but they are whisper quiet and chock full of features, hddtemp does not yet support the specific drive but it reports the temperature accurately, another nice feature is that the drive is capable of accepting either normal 4-pin power or the newer style power connectors found on other SATA drives. These drives are not overly expensive, I bought mine from newegg.com for $86 each at just over $1 per gig they turn out to be a great deal.

Kernel (uname -r): 2.6.4
Distribution: Slackware 9.1

I am in the process of getting this drive working with Slackware 9.1 I have recompiled the kernel with Sata included. If you get this drive (or any sata drive) keep inmind that if you want to use Salckware in particular, you will have problems. I have also used this as my main drive for Mandrake 10.0. It works like a charm for that distro. And this drive is extremely fast.
