Kernel (uname -r): 2.6.5-1-k7
Distribution: Debian unstable

Reads DVD-5 fine. Reads DVD-9 under Windows, but I couldn't get it to read a DVD-9 (data or video) under Linux. It just ejects the DVD a few seconds after inserting.
