Description: This non-optical cordless wheelmouse needs two AAA batteries. It works smooth usind the PS/2 connector and the following lines in XF86Config-4:

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Configured Mouse"
Driver "mouse"
Option "CorePointer"
Option "Device" "/dev/psaux"
Option "Protocol" "ImPS/2"
Option "Emulate3Buttons" "no"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
EndSection

In addition, I had to add the following lines to /etc/modules:
mousedev
psmouse

I haven't been able to get this mouse working with the USB connector yet.
Keywords: Logitech cordless mouse ps/2 usb

I bought this mouse on eBay for $13. It wasn't quite what I wanted, but that was my own fault for not being specific enough in my search. I booted into Knoppix and it was immediately detected. Same for Kanotix and Ubuntu. I have had no problems with it on Linux over USB. Windows, on the other hand, was much harder to get it to work with. First I installed MouseWare, then plugged it in, but it wouldn't detect the drivers. I had to find them myself, and couldn't find some of them. It works on Win98SE now with mouse, scroll wheel, and autoscroll for middle button, but I still can't get MouseWare to see it.

Final Score: Windows 98 SE - 0 Linux - 3!
