Description: Both the keyborard and the mouse are wireless. The mouse is an optical mouse and the quality is extremely good. The previous optical mouse (not a famous brand) I had would move the mouse cursor in the opposite direction if I moved it too fast. This was not a problem with Desktop use but was a problem in 3D shoot'em up games.

This logitech cordless mouse is just awesome. I have moved it as fast as I could and it still works properly and doesn't get confused with the direction.

I got ALL the special function keys in the keyboard to work Goto to the link below for help, it has all the information you need to get it working-
http://symlink.dk/linux/config/logitech.php

I haven't got all the mouse buttons to work yet. I have seen threads in LQ where someone had successfully configured it. I just don't have time to try it out. 5 of the 8 mouse buttons work.

I'm using them in PS/2 mode. I haven't tried USB mode coz I hate using USB for keyboards and mice.
Keywords: logitech cordless mx duo 700 optical mouse

I bought it off a friend, and tried it on my computer. It took a while to get the mouse buttons to work, but it's great now that they do.

I don't have the keyboard, but I do have the mouse. No problems at all during installation. The wheel works, and so do some of the extra buttons. I haven't gotten the two thumb buttons to work yet, but haven't tried, either.

Apart from the small button on the top (the one that shows a task switching menu in windows), all the buttons work. Although this is not in every program, the one in which I need it (firefox) uses them without a problem.

For the keyboard: some buttons don't seem to work, but I don't use extra buttons all too often.

All in all it's a great combo for a reasonable price.

KB works as normal KB just fine. Some of the special butttons make X think I clicked the mouse. However, I got the volume/mute buttons to work just fine (set up to run little scripts, below), and I set up the forward/back/play/stop buttons to control yammi. I don't use the other KB buttons, but with a little work I could get them all to work and bind them however I liked. The KB wheel is a second mouse wheel, and the two buttons below it on the left work fine; I set them up pop up my fluxbox menu, and ctrl+alt+(either of those two) quits fluxbox. I don't use the mouse because it's too heavy and fast on the screen (hw problem, same in winxp), but I tried it for kicks and it works fine.
