An excellent "shoebox" size PC. I have had an excellent experience with this machine, and it's small enough to sit on top of my desk, rather than on the floor. The dimensions are hard to believe - the height and width are a bit more than a dollar bill, and the depth is about the length of about a buck and a half. This machine is perfect for Linux, although it uses on-board Nvidia components, which may require some manual tweaking. Useful link: http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_nforce_1.0-0261 One small but really great idea is to put all the sound ports and USB ports on the front panel, for easy access. Awesome!

Caveats: This is a tiny box, and you get one HD, one PCI slot, one AGP, and on CD/DVD device, that's it. Realistically that's all anyone really needs, and as long as you understand this box's boundaries, it is a really great little machine. The BIOS allows for very easy OC'ing if that's what you're into (I'm not, but I tried it with an Athlon XP 2500+ just to see if I could do it, the answer was Yes) and it works excellently with Linux, particularly if you are running kernel 2.6.3 or above (which includes the Nvidia eth0 driver by default)

To be totally honest, thanks to this machine I am pretty much convinced that I will not buy any standard towers or desktop units. It's an incredibly stable little box, and definitely worth the money. -- J.W.
